Class Announcements We are going green:)Dear Parents, Starting next week, only the spelling list will be sent home. The packet will be stored in a file at the bottom of this page for your convenience. Please print the pages and make sure your student completes the work to turn it in on Friday as usual. If you do not have access to a printer please let me know and I can prepare the complete package for your student. Thank you for your support. SR Core SubjectsIn Mathematics we are currently studying Geometry. Students should continue to practice math facts to become fluent and proficient in addition and subtraction.
In Reading we are learning strategies to improve our comprehension, and in grammar we are learning about suffixes -ed and -ing following rules and patterns such as VC, VVC, VCC, and VCe. We are also learning about synonyms and antonyms. We continue to read in small groups for instruction and have plenty of time to read independently in the classroom during the Language Arts block. Students should be reading AR material at their reading level and taking comprehension tests continuously. Please encourage your student to read consistently. In Science we finished the Matter unit of study. In Social Studies we are learning about economics. Thank you for your continue support in the preparation of your student for tests and for the completion of daily assignments.
